CSP - Community Support Program
The CSP program is a volunteer based information and referral service that seeks to build community capacity through the provision of services, groups and courses that respond to the needs, safety and well-being of individuals, families and diverse community groups;
Factors targeted include unemployment, English language skills, adult literacy, access to transport and family relationships which tend to impact on low income earners, people from culturally diverse backgrounds and community members who may be marginalised due to mental health and legal issues.
The intervention tends to be short term to address acute situations rather than protracted involvement, however, referrals to appropriate agencies can be made where longer term support is indicated.
CSP supports, and is supported by, a team of valued volunteers who are keen to utilise existing skills or to learn new skills in the areas of administration, reception, community development, housekeeping, marketing and gardening.
Enquiries in relation to the Volunteer program or any suggestions for a community activity or course can be made to the CEO.
