The CAMS initiative enables community organisations to employ multicultural community workers to undertake systemic and group advocacy and community capacity building activities for the benefit of Queenslanders from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and to strengthen multiculturalism across the state. by;
- The overall aims of the program is to ensure that regardless of a persons cultural, linguistic and religious background they have equitable access to services and programs that respond to their needs.
- Are able to fully participate in and benefit from all aspects of lfe in Queensland
- Feel a sense of belonging in a cohesive and harmonious community.
The CAMS program also delivers events to celebrate:
- International Women’s Day.
- Harmony Day.
- Refuge Day.
- Multicultural Day.
