By learning from others and sharing what works well for us, we are able to deliver positive outcomes for individuals, families and communities. We work to stop problems before they start, provide support to prevent situations from getting worse and form partnerships to find long-term solutions to community issues.

Volunteering

Volunteering

Volunteers are important contributors to the activities of the Caboolture Neighbourhood Centre. Their duties range from answering the telephone and collecting the mail, to sitting on our board of directors.

People volunteer for many reasons and we respect whatever positive motivation you may have.

A number of volunteers get great satisfaction at being able to help those in the community who require assistance of some kind, and others enjoy making new contacts and finding something to do with their spare time.

There are a number of different projects, working with different people - all of whom need willing hands and open hearts.

Volunteers are provided with the following;

1) Volunteer Handbook.
2) Training.
3) Assistance with career development.
4) Reference confirming your contribution to our services.

Our Mission Statement

Students

Students

The Neighbourhood Centre actively supports students who are looking to enhance their studies through relevant practical experience in the community.

However, due to the nature of the services offered by the Centre not all students wishing to undertake a work placement can be accommodated.

Applications are individually considered and assessed on the basis of;

1) The relevance of the study area to the services provided by the Centre.

2) The length and focus of the placement.

3) Availability of suitable supervisors.

Please feel free to contact the Centre on (07) 5495 3818 to arrange an appointment with the Chief Executive Officer to discuss in more detail the suitability and requirements of your placement.
